Nasir Khurram

Khurram Nasir, Houston Methodist Cardiology, MD, MPH, MSc
Co-Director, DHI

Khurram Nasir is Chief of Cardiovascular Prevention and Wellness at Houston Methodist and Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, an internationally recognized leader in preventive cardiology and health data science. As Co-Director of DHI, he improves population health by translating clinical research into scalable digital solutions. His research focuses on value-based care, health equity and data-driven prevention strategies.

 

Ashutosh Sabharwal, PhD
Co-Director, DHI

Ashutosh Sabharwal is a professor of engineering at Rice University where he is the founder of multiple interdisciplinary health tech initiatives and a pioneer in digital health and wireless technologies. As Co-Director of DHI, he leads efforts to develop cutting-edge digital platforms for health care delivery. His research spans wireless health sensing, AI-driven diagnostics and equitable health access.

Pothik Chatterjee, MBA, MTS
Executive Director, DHI

Pothik Chatterjee is the Executive Director of the Digital Health Institute. He brings more than 15 years of leadership experience in digital health, biotech and AI. Previously, he led innovation and operations at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, forging partnerships with Apple, Microsoft and AWS. At DHI, he advances cross-sector collaboration in digital care, precision medicine and data science. He holds degrees from Georgetown, Johns Hopkins and Harvard Business School.

Stephen Jones, MD, MEd
Director, Houston Methodist

Stephen Jones leads health data science and analytics efforts at Houston Methodist and plays a key role in advancing the DHI’s mission to improve clinical outcomes through data-driven innovation. With a background in clinical informatics and health IT, he has led the development of life-saving digital tools, including an early sepsis detection system that has improved patient care statewide. His work supports DHI’s focus on integrating clinical data, predictive analytics and scalable digital solutions for real-world health care impact.
